The Baltimore House 43 King William Street

Just a quick post this time around – unfortunately I couldn’t stay long, but when I found out my friend Steve Haining was directing a new music video for The Ascot Royals at Baltimore House, I had to stop by!

The video is for “Think You’re Better” off Ascots’ latest album Don’t Let It Stop You (which rocks – and made my list of top local albums of last year). Getting to see them play the song through a few times was fun; I know I wouldn’t get sick of hearing it over and over!

Baltimore is such a fantastic setting for film and photo shoots. Recently it was also featured in Pete Van Dyk & the Second Hand Band’s video for “Rise The Falling Sun” (with a nice cameo by bartender and musician, Kevin!) and Canadian Winter featured the venue in “Get The Show On The Road.” As many times as I’ve been, I still marvel over the space and decor every time.

Additional scenes were shot in other locations so I look forward to seeing the finished product. Catch the Ascots next on May 15th at The Casbah!

Check out a few behind-the-scenes shots I took of the shoot below.
