The West Town Bar & Grill 214 Locke Street South

This morning, my breakfast exploration brought me to Locke Street to check out West Town Bar & Grill. I’ve sampled more of the bar & grill side of West Town (last time I was there I sampled a variety of pub foods), but they have been on my list to hit for brekky. Plus, I have not yet added them to the blog.

Breakfast is served every day from 7:30-11:30 and until 2pm on the weekends. This was a Monday, so breakfast options can be limited with some spots closed that day. I also appreciated the 11:30 cut-off rather than the usual 11. Sometimes you need just that extra little bit of time to get going in the morning!

We’ve established that I’m very indecisive with menus. Although the Belgian Waffles, Pancakes, French Toast and Cinnamon Toast all sound amazing and will be options for me next time, I was in the mood for a standard breakfast combo. I ordered the Eggs (you can choose one or two eggs) which comes with homefries, toast, and your choice of bacon, ham, sausage or beans or tomato. I went bacon – but I like the bean & tomato option! The homefries were a highlight for me – some of the tastiest I’ve had.

West Town also has live music. On Tuesdays, they host a Songwriters’ Showcase where musicians can join in to share their music.

I always love exploring Locke and hope to be back in that ‘hood soon.
