PREMIERE: ELSEE – “Eggshells”

I Heart Hamilton is excited to premiere the brand new video by ELSEE!

The soulful vocals of Lauren Campbell brought new local artist ELSEE to my attention last year and we had the chance to connect with an interview on 93.3 CFMU. With only a couple of singles released so far, I was excited to hear more. This live-off-the-floor recording of “Eggshells” is the first visual that showcases the newly assembled band consisting of Lauren, Sam Kadet, Chadd Kam, and former Zilis members Sean Royle and Zander Lamothe. The clip was recorded and filmed entirely at local studio Catherine North.

ELSEE says of the video: “Performance videos have always been a favourite of mine. Seeing people dig into their instruments, and noticing the little looks they give to one another while playing is very interesting to me. Having only been playing together since January, the video for “Eggshells” is a glimpse into the early stages of a new band that’s testing out how to play off one another musically, while also still getting to know each other as people and build friendships. There’s something kind of exciting about that!”
