Jax Sweet Shoppe 33 King Street West, Dundas
Remember my ice cream crawl?! It’s still going. This one got lost in the shuffle, but I would be remiss if I didn’t feature one of my visits from last summer, Jax Sweet Shoppe in Dundas.
Not only do I have a sweet spot for ice cream, but for classic diners. Jax is a dream come true in that it offers both. I had often passed by the unassuming Dundas shop, always being drawn to the promise of ice cream and baked goods inside.
Jax didn’t disappoint, with its 1950’s decor complete with black and white checkerboard floor, white tables and red seats true to the era, and Coca Cola and Betty Boop memorabilia.
I was on an ice cream mission after book shopping with Trish and Lisa, but Jax knows the way to my heart once more – with breakfast food. They also have a scrumptious sounding menu with crepes, waffles, french toast, Eggs Benedict, pancakes… all the good stuff.
With spring weather finally kicking in, my ice cream tour resumes. More to come!
