I Heart Hamilton is excited to premiere the brand new lyric video from local folk duo Piper & Carson!

“Say something
Your silence is not good enough
We all regret not speaking up
Now’s the time”
– “Don’t Know Where We’re Going,” Piper & Carson

“Don’t Know Where We’re Going” is taken from Piper & Carson‘s latest album Edgewalker’s Remedy, released this past fall. The musicians describe the album as being “a musical exploration of people’s intersections; showcasing shifting paradigms and encouraging examination.” The new lyric video beautifully combines lyrics, choreography and movement.

From the artist:
“Don’t Know Where We’re Going” [is a song] about reflection, transformation, and living in wonder. In a time of uncertainty that lends to the feeling of perpetual suspension, this video tells the story of relief through surrender and a call to action.

This song was written as a conversation between the wind and a man who has spent his life caught up in the harmful hustle and disconnect of colonial capitalist structure. From start to end he begins to find his way of feeling deeper and remembering what it is to live.

  1. Beautiful. It makes me realize that I still have the heart of the Young that sees what is ,what has happened and what can be.
I am 75 and thought I had “ adjusted” and done all that I could do in this lifetime to make things better and leave the world a better place. During the past few years and with the horrors in Kamloops revealed in the last week I feel my heart breaking as it did as a youth when I saw all that was wrong and the anger propelled me to speak up and act. Somewhere along the way I became complacent and decided to let the new generation take a stand.I became much more numb to what was around me and felt too old and too tired to fight.
I am seeing that who I am inside has n vet changed and I Stand regardless of my age and jadedness I STAND fir CHANGE and I am no longer waiting. I am Here and Alive and I will ACT.
Thank you Piper and Carson for reminding me who I am.
    Cheryl 🙏
