The release features two tracks: “James Street North” (Side A) which was co-arranged by Andy Shernoff, produced by Gene Champagne, and Engineered by Carm Milioto at 410 Studios. “Tongue Fu” (Side B) was produced by Andy Shernoff and engineered by Roman Marcone at Porcelain Studios. Both tracks were mixed by Nick Blagona at Psychotropia Studios and will appear on the band’s debut album.
I Heart Hamilton is excited to present the exclusive reveal of the album art before its release on Saturday!
Tongue FU has been described as a “no-nonsense Rock N Roll band, that learned a lot from reading Creem and Rock Scene magazines. This six-pack features Dave Elley, Gord Lewis, Gene Champagne, Rob Sweeney, Greg Brisco, and Lou Molinaro, who have many roles establishing the local music scene well beyond the band and even the storied Hamilton street James North itself.”
Timed with the weekend of the 20th annual Hamilton Music Awards, Tongue FU will celebrate the vinyl’s release this Saturday, May 23rd at This Ain’t Hollywood during the HMA Music Festival. The night will also feature fellow local rockers and HMA nominees Dirty Jeans and Live How You Live. Be sure to snag your copy of a little piece of Hamilton music history!
Tongue FU are up for three awards at the HMAs: New Artist/Group of the Year, Punk Recording of the Year, and Video of the Year for “James Street North”.
Thanks to Hammer City Records for the exclusive!
