It’s going to be very hard to top this! The coolest thing I’ve ever had the opportunity to do so far in the five years of my I Heart Hamilton journey is interview Matt Berninger of The National.
It was serendipitous that my annual live-to-air show on 93.3 CFMU was the same day as the Welcome to Hamilton benefit show, headlined by The National, and organized by their manager Brandon Reid, who is from Hamilton and recently moved back.
It was an honour to get to chat with Brandon and Matt – we talked about the concept behind the benefit show, how Brandon and The National came together, the music industry, and what The National is working on next.
