It’s not every day you get to sport a panda mask, an eye patch, a mustache, some funky glasses, and Bill Clinton and Hulk Hogan masks. Avishka and I were lucky enough to be a part of Hamilton-based photographer and founder of MONSTERS vs ME Jay Perry’s latest project. We love everything Jay is doing, from his eclectic website, Give Up to Gain challenges, motivational messages, monthly MvM Invades Motown parties at Club Absinthe and, of course, his photography. Jay is currently working on a personal project that deals with the theme of individualism. The photos feature head shots of many different people wearing these various accessories. If you’ve been following, you know we’re always up for a photo opportunity, so we had to get in on the action.

Us girls have certainly watched enough cycles of Top Model in our day. The shoot gave us an opportunity to channel our inner Tyra and try out our “smize”. This proves to be kind of tricky while rocking an eye patch.

A bunch of us got together for the shoot, so I’m giving Honourary Tour Member status to our friends who also participated: Stacey, Krystal, Jamie, Matt, and Jordan. And of course, Jay! We all had a blast watching each other pose and were so pumped to see our photos. It was fun seeing everyone’s personalities come out and I think Jay captured all of us really well.

Being a part of a professional photoshoot is another new experience for us that we can say we’ve had this summer, certainly making for a memorable tour day.
